Green Carpet Event - April 22

Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education (MAEOE)  Maryland Green School Program is featured in a national documentary highlighting green school initiatives throughout the nation.  Maryland is one of five programs included in the hour-long documentary created by award winning director Dale Bell (original Woodstock Documentary) and narrated by Ed Begley Jr.  “Growing Greener Schools” is scheduled to air on PBS stations nationwide during the month of April.  In Maryland, MPT is airing the program on no other day than Earth Day –April 22 at 4:30pm.  MAEOE is encouraging schools, businesses, places of worship to organize viewing parties designed to stimulate and fuel the green school movement in Maryland.  If you plan a screening event – please send a quick email to Ryan Pleune, MD Green School Coordinator, at greenschools@maeoe.org

 

MAEOE  is hosting a special Earth Day premiere of the PBS World documentary “Growing Greener Schools” at the UMUC Marriott Inn in College Park (1st LEED Certified Hotel in North America), April 22 from 4:30-7 PM.
